April-May Update

A current list of accepted papers is posted here. Conference registration will remain open throughout the month of May (closing June 1), but earlybird registration for IACS3 ends on May 1. Click here to register for the conference. Click through for more updates.

ROOM SHARE: For anyone who would like to save on hotel costs by sharing a room with another conference participant, we have made arrangements with a new conference room-share startup to help facilitate this process. Simply visit the ConferenceShare website, then register or login to your profile, then select "IACS-2018" in the drop-down menu and search or wait to find a roommate. The site was created by academics for academics.

HOTEL BOOKING: Remember to visit our lodging page for information and ideas related to room booking near the conference venue. You will note that we recommend booking your hotel rooms as soon as possible due to cost increases and decreased room vacancy during mid-July (peak travel season). You will also note that we have secured two levels of accommodation at reduced rates (one in a four-star hotel and another in a university residence). Please note that these are limited-availability room blocks that will expire at the beginning of June or once fully booked, whichever is earlier. These deals are offered on a first-come-first-served basis. We cannot guarantee availability; so please act now to reserve your lodging during the conference.

CONFERENCE BANQUET: We have an agreement to host the July 14 conference banquet with Dynasty Chinese Cuisine. The event will include a group excursion en route via some of Toronto's notable landmarks, an 11-course meal in traditional array at a substantially reduced rate (see price listed on the conference registration page) and a mealtime performance by local artists. After the banquet, nearby establishments like Hemingway's are only a quick stroll away to support ongoing conversation.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS: To further assist your preparations for the conference, we have added a number of other pages, resources and links on the conference website. See our Conference Travel Recommendations page, our Toronto tourism page, our compiled list of venue and travel maps, our plenaries page, a description of our pre-conference workshop, a sketch of conference programming, and more to come.
